Tammam Obeid, MD
Board Certified Vascular Surgeon
Specializing in vascular disease, Dr. Tammam Obeid treats conditions all throughout the body, ranging from critical limb ischemia to varicose veins to mesenteric ischemia. He utilizes state-of-the-art minimally invasive and classical techniques including angioplasty, stenting, laser atherectomy and open bypass surgery. From saving limbs from amputation to giving relief from chronic pain and swelling, his full spectrum of treatments enables patients to return to their normal lives and enjoy everyday activities.
Dr. Obeid graduated from Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland – Bahrain, then attended University of Texas Medical Branch for a combined Vascular Surgery Residency and Fellowship. Following a prestigious post-doctoral fellowship at John Hopkins, Dr. Obeid returned to Texas to join StrideCare’s top rated practice. Dr. Obeid is board eligible in vascular surgery and is a candidate for the Society of Vascular Surgery. He is a member of the Vascular and Endovascular Surgery Society. He has also been published and cited in numerous publications and presentations.

Dr. Obeid cares about the outcomes of his patients and goes the extra mile to achieve patient satisfaction. He finds being able to make problems go away with a simple same day procedure a very satisfying experience. His artistic side enjoys the aesthetics of restoring the physical appearance of legs.
Having performed over 1,000 vascular surgery procedures, Dr. Obeid sets realistic expectations and treatment goals with patients from day one, then explains all treatment options. Dr. Obeid is not afraid to push the envelope or try something new. He is honest with his opinions and wants patients to experience the best results. Patients are enabled to take control of their condition and make an informed decision to reach their healthcare goals.
Dr. Obeid believes each patient has a unique background and a unique disease pattern. Every patient under his care receives an individualized treatment plan that meets their goals and suits their way of life. In his free time, Dr. Obeid loves outdoor activities, traveling and cooking, especially Mediterranean recipes. When relaxing, he enjoys charcoal sketching and playing the guitar. Chess is another favorite hobby. Dr. Obeid is an advocate for chess and follows American and international chess players.
