Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy

DPN is a progressive disorder that significantly impacts quality of life for patients with diabetes. It usually presents itself as debilitating pain, numbness, or burning sensations in the lower extremities resulting from damage to the peripheral nerves. Patients may have been previously prescribed medications, but often experience partially effective results and notice more serious side effects after regular consumption. Patients with DPN who have not received relief through conventional treatments may be good candidates for the minimally invasive procedure Spinal Cord Stimulation (SCS).
