Tracy Hjemlstad, DPM
Podiatric Foot and Ankle Specialist
Dr. Tracy Hjelmstad, DPM, provides both surgical and nonsurgical treatment options for the full range of foot and ankle disorders, focusing on helping patients improve mobility, reduce discomfort, and maintain overall foot health through personalized and comprehensive care. A native of North Dakota, Dr. Hjelmstad began his educational journey by earning his undergraduate degree from the University of North Dakota before going on to obtain his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio.
Following medical school, Dr. Hjelmstad completed his postgraduate training in Minneapolis within the Allina Health Care System, where he first finished a residency in Primary Podiatric Medicine and then pursued additional advanced training through a Podiatric Surgery Residency with a focus on Reconstructive Foot and Ankle Surgery. His extensive training allows him to address a wide variety of foot and ankle conditions using both conservative and surgical approaches when appropriate. Dr. Hjelmstad is a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association as well as the American Academy of Podiatric Practice Management.
Dr. Hjelmstad is currently practicing at Paris Foot & Ankle locations in Paris, Texas, and Sulphur Springs, Texas, where he provides care to patients throughout the surrounding communities.
In his free time, he enjoys traveling to new places, hunting and fishing outdoors, and spending meaningful time with his children.
