About Dr. Pratt

Dr. Wande Pratt is a fellowship-trained, board-certified vascular and endovascular surgeon, who comes to Stridecare with expertise, interest, and passion for treating peripheral arterial disease and lower extremity disorders. Dr. Pratt received his undergraduate degree from the University of Chicago and received his Medical Doctorate from Harvard Medical School. While earning his medical degree, he also received a Master of Public Health degree. Dr. Pratt then completed a General Surgery Residency at Washington University School of Medicine, in St. Louis. He also completed an NIH-sponsored T32 research fellowship in vascular surgery at Harvard Medical School, and a Clinical Fellowship in Vascular and Endovascular Surgery at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston.

Dr. Pratt treats a variety of vascular conditions, such as peripheral arterial disease. “My experience and training have provided me with a unique skill set to be able to offer patients and their families both minimally invasive and open vascular surgery procedures,” Dr. Pratt says. “Because I am familiar and comfortable with both approaches, I can offer patients more options. In this way, my practice is uniquely patient-centered.”

Dr. Pratt is an experienced vascular surgeon, with more than 50 peer-reviewed publications and book chapters, and numerous national and international presentations. He has performed more than 3,000 vascular surgery procedures and is a member of several medical and surgical societies. He will be joining Stridecare and will serve as Managing Physician for Stridecare’s South Dallas facility. “I enjoy taking care of patients with circulatory problems, establishing long-term relationships with them, and providing advanced level care,” Dr. Pratt explains. “Vascular surgery is an evolving field that has given me a number of options to deliver high quality patient-centered care without ever having to make an incision or requiring an overnight hospital stay. At Stridecare, patients and their family members are our top priority, and we will continue to strive to create a family-friendly atmosphere.”

Dr. Pratt is excited to be returning to Texas and joining the Dallas Fort-Worth community. In his free time, he cycles and plays basketball and golf, but most enjoys spending time with his wife, his two young kids and his dogs, firing up the grill, and watching professional and college athletics.
